Preferences

The Preferences page enables administrators to establish standardized formatting rules for how Adcyma creates and displays user identity information within your tenant. These settings ensure consistency across all newly created users and align with your organization's naming conventions and email policies.

Configurable Format Options

Administrators can customize the format for the following user attributes:

User Principal Name (UPN)
Define how the primary login identifier will be structured for new users, ensuring it follows your organization's authentication standards.

Email Address Format
Control the structure of email addresses assigned to new users, maintaining consistency with your email domain policies.

Display Name Format
Configure how user names will appear throughout the system interface and in communications.

Email Nickname Format
Set the format for email aliases and short identifiers used in email systems.

Configuration Process

Use the dropdown menus to select your preferred format for each attribute. The available options provide flexibility to match your organization's existing standards or implement new conventions. After making your selections, click Save Preferences to implement the changes system-wide.

Important Note

These formatting preferences only apply to newly created users and will not modify the format of existing user accounts. Current users will retain their existing UPN, email, display name, and nickname formats until manually updated.

Strategic Considerations

Consistency Planning
Establish these preferences early in your Adcyma deployment to ensure all new users follow consistent naming patterns from the start.

Organizational Alignment
Consider how these formats will integrate with existing systems, email policies, and user directory structures within your environment.

Future Scalability
Choose formats that will remain practical and clear as your organization grows and adds more users to the managed population.

Domain Compatibility
Ensure selected email formats are compatible with your organization's verified domains and email routing policies.

These preference settings provide the foundation for maintaining organized, consistent user identity management as your Adcyma-managed user base expands.
